LFL : NOBLE LIKELY OUT FOR SEASON WITH TORN ACL After scoring the biggest upset in LFL history last weekend, the Omaha Heart now have new expectations for their inaugural LFL season. However, despite sitting at an optimistic 1-1 in the Eastern Conference standings, the Heart suffered a devastating blow to morale soon after their first ever win. During their game against Jacksonville, Omaha’s starting quarterback Linsey Noble had been helped off the field at the end of the first half. After further medical examinations, it was confirmed that Noble has a torn ACL and is likely out for the remainder of the season. Omaha head coach Dontae Allen was adamant in showing his support for his injured quarterback. With the athletic Noble out, Omaha’s loses a ton of mobility at quarterback. Although backup quarterback Ashley Lambrecht has a strong arm, she is not nearly as athletic of a runner as Noble, so expect a shift in the offensive scheme as the Heart’s season moves forward. Lambrecht’s ability to manage a game as close as last Saturday’s is encouraging for Omaha fans. As she steps in to run the offense, Lambrecht knows she has the full support of her teammates behind her. Noble has not ruled out her return to the field this season, nor has she ruled out her team’s chances at the post-season. Obviously, taking Noble off the field doesn’t stop her willingness to lead.
