The Liberian Peace Council an armed group led by Dr. George Borley,a former minister of Education,;;… the national Patriotic Front of Liberia led by Charles G. Taylor (in prison), a former government official, elected president of liberia in 1997,,…;; it should be noted that two anti-taylor faction were formed from the ranks of the NPFL-itself,, the Independent NPFL (INPFL) led by Prince Johnson and the NPFL-Central revolutionary committee.,,;; the Guinea based Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy (LURD) controlled by Dr. Laveli Supuwood, a former minister of justice and Sekou Conneh, a used car sales man…;;;,,,, movement for Democracy and election in Liberia (MODEL),, controlled by Jackson Doe, a former deputy director of presidential security during the S K Doe regime, and Zoe Pennue, a notorious death squad leader also during the Doe’s Regime.. The rise in the number of rebel groups, and the sinister nature of the activities, should draw urgent attention to the need for CHANGE …. In order to change our bloody and misrepresenting past, there are three words to be imperatively considered; 1.
