LIFE AFTER DEATH: Bulletin #39 Credibility The Holy Bible is not like any ordinary book. Cracking it requires much more than deep intelligence and vast experience. Truly, it cannot be properly understood without the aid of the Holy Spirit. Nonetheless, the Holy Spirit only inhabits and assists those who became righteous through baptism of water and the Spirit: the “Born Again Christians” or BACs. They are the ones bestowed by the Spirit with, among others, the gift of discernment, i.e., spiritual knowledge and wisdom. What are the implications of these Bible-based facts? One, if we don’t have the correct grasp of the Divine Truths (Word of God), chances are, we will not be saved. It is the Truth that will set us free—from the bondage of sin. That is why Jesus said: “Unless a person is born of water and the Spirit (i.e., Born Again), he cannot see the Kingdom of God (or Heaven).” Two, genuine BACs easily see eye to eye with other legit BACs; they have the same mentor. But since not all people (in fact only a few) are BACs, it is not at all startling to see why there are endless debates about the Holy Bible, and why there is an ongoing and rapid mushrooming of new Christian churches or sects. Three, now you know who is more credible and trustworthy when it comes to explaining the Word of God. Take for example Jesus’ statement, “Take. Eat. This (bread) is my body.” Some interpret this symbolically; others literally. Whose interpretation should you believe: that from a well-known Bible scholar—but is not a BAC; or, that from one whose inspiration and authority to decipher comes from God (the Holy Spirit)?
