LIFE IN THE UNITED STATES: Product and Service. Last Christmas, my daughter and her husband gave me an iPhone plus monthly service fees. With Sulan Richmond and Mark Richmond Today the iPhone died and went to Batang Mandai. I called the Service Provider who did the trouble shooting but we failed to revive my iPhone. They told me that they will replace my iPhone but they had to verify if there is no water in the phone. If there is water, meaning I had dropped it there, I would have to pay $300 for the iPhone. I was told to use a paper clip to flip open the sim card opening. I did! I was then asked What color was inside? and I responded No color. The iPhone lady was satisfied and tomorrow they are going to shipped a new iPhone to me, for free!
