LIFE ON EARTH It may seem like repetition. The traumas never go away. There is a period of transition. But agony is here to stay. There’s no evidence of learning. The same things happen yet again. Nothing will stop Pain returning. We don’t know how. We don’t know when. Some people say that we progress. There is much more equality. But there are times when we regress. We practice bestiality. We do not rise to greater heights. Genetic tendencies remain. Mankind is prone to appetites. We rape we kill and we cause pain. Civilization is no cure. Cultures are buried in the dust. Those who survive live to endure The scars inflicted by Man’s lust. Perhaps our lives are just a game. There are no rules and no one wins All people seem to be the same Their souls are all besmirched by sins Perhaps our souls are sent to learn. Perhaps some god designed the course. Perhaps diplomas souls can earn There is no pity or remorse. How can I trust a deity Who has created all this mess? Life on this earth is misery There is no god for me to bless
