LIFE ON OUR NUT FARM – PECAN PIE Michael on patrol today and the thermometer still hovers barely above freezing. Supposed to warm up a bit tomorrow, he and the Dachshunds are looking forward to it! I am working on a Big Project this weekend, and made a lot of progress. We are preparing for Thanksgiving and it sounds like many of you are also. My father Kenny is especially looking forward to Michael’s Turkey dinner with the works! As the bird is cooling on the kitchen counter, Kenny enjoys snacking on the crispy skin. His favorite is the dark meat! Michael will make two pies, pumpkin and of course an apple with our Granny Smiths. My mother Josephine always made a pecan pie, maybe I will this year.
