LIGHT AND DARKNESS Light and darkness are two different things entirely. In the beginning, God separated the light from the darkness (Genesis 1:4). Whoever does not live in light (God) is therefore living in darkness (Satan). You can not be in light and at the same time be in darkness. That is, no one can serve light and darkness at the same time (Matthew 6:24). God takes pleasure in those who walk in His light. To walk in His light is to walk in His ways and to fear Him always! For this reason, always hate sin, worldliness, iniquity, ungodliness, evil, wickedness, unrighteousness, injustice, pride and arrogance. Rather, practice and pursue holiness, righteousness, justice, godliness and humility. Show love; be identified with the lifestyle of loving and caring for your neighbour and brethren. Learn how to forgive from your heart (1 John 2:9-11; Ephesians 4:31-32; Colossians 3:12-14). Further, to walk in the light of God is to do His perfect Will (what He wants you to do correctly and carefully; obedience). Obey and carry out His commandments, rules and instructions! in actual fact, you can not achieve all these things if you do not have the Holy Spirit. Those who do not have Him can not please God! To the true Christians and saints (i.e., the Church or Bride of Christ); the Holy Spirit in you is your light. Gods life in you is also His light (see John 1:4). The light of God turns you away from the snares and deceits of darkness! In fact, you have a spiritual light that shines and burns brightly (Proverbs 4:18; Luke 11:36). Even the demons and agents of Satan knows this very well. And they dare not to come closer! Do not quench that spiritual light. Grow in the grace and love of God. Press on to know God more and more. Always fellowship with the Holy Spirit! So, spend quality time by preaching the truth; praying for yourself and others; praising and worshiping God with thanksgiving; and reading and meditating on your Bible. The truth is, those who died in light (true holiness and righteousness), will inherit eternity in Heaven! Many people have eyes, but they can not see; because darkness has blinded their eyes (Isaiah 42:20; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Luke 11:34-35). Any one who practices and pursues sin, worldliness, iniquity, ungodliness, evil, wickedness, unrighteousness, injustice, pride and arrogance therefore loves darkness and hate light! In that sense, the sinners and unbelievers have a spiritual deep darkness (Proverbs 4:19). They walk in darkness, and hence belong to Satan. As a matter of fact, those who died in darkness (sins and iniquities), will spend eternity in hell fire! Jesus Christ is light, and any one who truly follows Him will not walk in darkness (hell fire); but will have the light of life (the kingdom of Heaven). Do not be deceived by the devil! If you die without Jesus, you will forever be in deep darkness. Therefore, be born again in Christ, so that you can have a personal and close relationship and fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. The Bible says, ....The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us (1 John 1:7-10 KJV). At this point, scrutinise and check your ways. Examine and test yourself to see whether you are still in the Christian faith on daily basis. Confess your sins and secret sins to Jesus, and repent from them (Acts 3:19). Always be found walking in the light of God. Take heed, lest you fall into darkness. In conclusion, do you belong to the light? Light is good; darkness is evil! Hence, forsake your wicked and sinful ways, and turn to the ways of God (Isaiah 55:7). Repent and return to God with all your heart, for He is merciful. Come out of that darkness you are living in before it is too late! Is it not better to live in light than to live in darkness? Will it not be joyous and sweet if you inherit eternity in the kingdom of light (Heaven) than in the kingdom of darkness (hell fire)? However, judgement is coming on the whole Earth. Jesus is coming back again. Prepare your soul! PRAYER POINTS Note: If you would like to be a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian, then say the first and second prayer point with faith and with all your heart. Say it now! This is the time; because tomorrow may be too late. You need to be saved from sin and hell fire through Jesus Christ. Here is the free gift of salvation from God: 1. I accept you, Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Saviour. I confess you as the Son of God. I now believe in your death and resurrection. I ask for your forgiveness of my sins and iniquities. Forgive me and wash away my sins and iniquities with your precious Blood. Deliver me from the powers of darkness and transform me into your marvellous light. Write my name in the Book of Life, in Jesus name. Amen! 2. Oh Lord, I surrender my life to you. I humbly ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit in full measure, in Jesus name. Amen! 3. Lord God Almighty, use your everlasting light to drive away every darkness that has blinded my mind and eyes, in the name of Jesus. 4. Oh Lord, give me the power and grace to practise and pursue what is good, right, true and pure. And let my light continue to shine, in Jesus name. 5. Oh Lord, expose every unfruitful works of darkness in me by your everlasting light, in the name of Jesus.
