LIGHTNINGS CORNER----------I have a comment ,on the national event held at LAS VEGAS,this past week end.The scariest thing I saw did not take place on the track,but was going on right before our eyes ,only a few yards away.It was the dismal crowd ,that did not fill the grand stands.,-----------I am talking about scenes of the bleachers ,that occurred during the NITRO racing sessions.i wager to say that not more than 40 % of the seats were filled.---------------------------NHRA management that should send shivers down your spine,do you not see what is happening or do you just not care.How long do you plan to let this go on before you even attempt to come up with ideas to .put people in the seats,I am sure much of the problem getting sponsors for the races ,and sponsorship for the racers ,is staring you in the face,-----Spend some of the non-profit $ on advertising ,events at the local tracks ,and get the new generation of drag racing fans ,to attend those events,then the new fans will lean of divisional,regional and national events ,that offers even more exciting racing ,and maybe ,the seats will be filled once again..It wont happen over night but the ball will at least start rolling in the right direction.Just my opinion, I welcome everyones comments.
