LIGHTS IN THE HEIGHTS.... the story behind the story. Long story short... God has Blessed me with some of the best friends in the world. Long story long... as we were getting ready for Lights in the Heights on Saturday morning, and running well behind schedule, the phone rings. Carla was calling to advise that she was headed over with her son, Taylor, to help get things ready for the evening and that I was to step out of the way (get the hell out of the way) while they proceeded to load stuff and pull down decorations from the attic. Stephen showed up and started working on some electrical trim work and kept himself busy. Then, about 4:30 in the afternoon, Cameron ran out to the garage, Daddy, Daddy, a LOT of people just pulled up into the driveway... who are they? Theyre early! Well, then like the opening scene from Extreme Makeover Home Edition, my friends from high school barge in and take over. Chris, Karen, Kelly, Chris Camerino, Kennedy Camerino, Suzanne, Shelley and a few more fill in the gaps, blow the dust out of the house, hang the lights outside and get food going. As I am climbing ladders and holding on tight, everything comes together. Michael Diaz was a huge help, as was Melissa all through the week. FOLKS, I CANNOT EXPRESS MY APPRECIATION ENOUGH! I LOVE YOU ALL!
