LINDA RACHEL UPDATE! Hi Everyone,it is me! My son brought me a laptop to use. Just popping on to let all know how I am. I find it so hard to believe that on Monday 9:30 am, I lay open on the table, had a cantelope/small watermelon/eggplant sized tumor cut out of me (yes, I have a pic of it), a jawbreaker size lymph node taken out, that nasty C cut off fatty part of liver,outside bladder lining removed, and some diaphram scraped, 4 of my colon cut off and resected....and here I am now talking to you on Saturday, with talk of me going home tomorrow! I did not have any major issues after surgery that could have happened, a slight elevated white blood count that was short lived, and elevated sugar level, but other than that...all good. My bodily functions are all working. They were able to put a port inside my body which increases my percent for the Chemo (if it works). The whole thing is simply amazing! My husband has been by my side the whole time, but did go home last night since the flowers were causing him significant allergy issues. They actually were affecting me too, so they were able to give me a Benedryl. Flowers are now adorning the Cancer wing lobby....lol. Outside of my family being wonderful, I need to thank all on here for the many, many prayers. Our church family has been wonderful, and you have been wonderful. Honestly, I did not believe I would make it through this. I thought it was my time to meet our Lord in Heaven. I am still here, and have a long road ahead, so please keep your prayers coming. I cant tell you enough how much you are appreciated. God Bless You All.
