LIRR WORKERS BETTER NOT STRIKE! What raises have you all gotten? How about teachers??? Here is what was offered already to LIRRs existing workers: -a 17% wage increase over 7 years -an average 22k retroactive payment -healthcare contributions of just 2% of base salary -no changes to pension contribution - no changes to work rules. Many teachers on Long Island had to agree to pay cuts/ freezes, higher health costs, more hours, more rules on evaluation. As a LIRR Rider I already pay close to $300 a month, do the LIRR workers really think the riders will be on their side?? Not this one!!!!
