LITTLE COUNTRY CHAPEL, Saturday, January 17, 2015 Hi there and welcome to The Little Country Chapel The lights are on, the organ is playing To God Be The Glory, and your friends new and old are gathering today sharing smiles and ready to praise God in prayer, song and scripture. Come on in The Little Country Chapel, Were ready to begin with a prayer of praise. Our Father in heaven. We come to you today to thank you for the kindness rendered unto us. We have been blessed with a God fearing country. And though we have strayed away from your love, you knock at the door, if only we let you in. God be with us today where ever we may go. Lead, guide and direct us in Jesus name we pray. Our opening song is: Lets Just Praise the Lord 1st verse (William J. Gaither) We thank you for your kindness, We thank you for your love, Weve been in heavenly places, Felt blessings from above; Weve been sharing all the good things, the family can afford, Lets just turn our praise tward heaven, And praise the Lord. Lets just praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Lets just lift our hands tward heaven and praise the Lord,--praise - - the Lord, Lets just lift our hands tward heaven and praise the Lord. Turn in your Bible to Acts 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 Stand Firm In The Faith (13) Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong (14) Do everything in love. COMMENT: As the Corinthians awaited Pauls next visit, they were directed (1) be on their guard against spiritual dangers, (2) stand firm in the faith, (3) behave courageously, (4) be strong, and (5) do everything in kindness and love. Today, as we wait for the return of Christ, we should follow the same instructions. Our closing hymn is: Tell It to Jesus 1st verse (Edmund S. Lorenz) Are you weary, are you heavy hearted? Tell it to Jesus, Tell it to Jesus; Are you grieving to over joys departed? Tell it to Jesus alone. Tell it to Jesus , Tell it to Jesus, He is a friend thats well thats well-known; Youve no other such a friend or brother, Tell it to Jesus alone. Our Father which is in heaven, give us strength to overcome evil and work for the glory of your Kingdom. Thank you dear Lord for the necessities of life. A Sparrow does not fall from the trees that dont know of it. How much more valuable are we. Be with those persecuted, the sick, elderly and homebound. May we each be as a lighthouse leading everyone to the house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
