LIVE IN MOBILE? Mobile City Council to meet tomorrow night (Tuesday) to vote on banning the sale of animals at the city’s biggest flea market, giving animal control officers more authority, and limiting the number of pets you keep in your home (defined as no one would be allowed to keep more animals than they can properly house or care for--designed to address hoarding situations). AVRAL is strongly opposed to the sale of animals at flea markets--we hope residents of Mobile will attend this meeting and support the proposed ban. We hope the other proposed changes are worded clearly enough to accurately identify hoarding and cruelty cases.
