LIVE IT! Where Is GOD? 2 Peter 3:9 A frustrated and frazzled New York City tour guide is trying to get her group through a maze of homeless people and panhandlers outside the great Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. After the group has safely entered the cathedral, she exclaims, with arms outstretched, “GOD is definitely here!” A young girl whose gaze lingers on the people outside asks, with all seriousness, “Why won’t they let HIM out!” The early readers of 2 Peter were confused that JESUS CHRIST had not yet returned again. They wondered, “Where Is GOD?” The author reminds them not to apply human limits to GOD’s response. Sometimes, when we pray for something, it seems like GOD keeps us waiting for eternity. We want something to happen quickly – but GOD is on a different schedule. You might say the only limits we have in seeing GOD’s actions are the ones we establish. Where are you not seeing GOD these days?
