While a personal experience with the living Christ in your life is crucial for your spiritual well being and growth, a thorough study of the Scriptures is essential if you want to lead a totally Christ-like life. The Holy Spirit enables you as a Christian to live and to serve in a way that is impossible if one relies on ones own power alone. It gives you power that can only come from Christ. Without this power your life will remain mundane and predictable, just like any ordinary, average life. However, when you welcome the Holy Spirit into your life, he gives you any of a variety of gifts that enable you to be secure and self-confident. The Spirit of the living God waits to take over your life, in order to transform you from an ordinary being into a Spirit-filled servant of God. If it is your desire to live as Christ meant you to live, you will need to set aside time to study the Scriptures, so that you yourself will be able to see the results of the influence of the Holy Spirit on the lives of ordinary people. Ask God to show you the way, and then follow him in faithful obedience. He will use you in the power of the Holy Spirit, in such a way that your heart will be filled with unutterable joy. .Spirit of Mercy, give me a life that will serve God effectively and joyfully, Have a Blessed Sunday.
