There are suggestions that Sami Khedira could also be on his way out and that Stamford Bridge may be his destination. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho signed former Stuttgart midfielder Khedira for Real Madrid and is thought to be interested in sealing a reunion with him before Monday’s deadline. If this deal goes through, it would be a major coup for the Blues’ as Sami Khedira had been a favorite of the Special One during his time at the Bernabeu and he can provide the same service that Makelele provided after moving from the Madrid Giants 10 years ago. Oscar had been favored ahead of the Spaniard for that no.10 role Mata wants but, the Special One has insisted again and again, Mata is a key to Chelsea’s success and that the two time player of the year winner will remain at Stamford Bridge. If this deal goes through though, Javior Pastore who had been out of favor by PSG might move to Arsenal who had made inquiry about the Argentine.
