(7pm EST) 23:30 BST LFC TV NBC Liverpool’s final group game will see a re-run of the 2005 and 2007 Champions League finals with the Reds taking on AC Milan in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 2nd. The Italians were famously beaten on penalties in Istanbul in 2005 before exacting revenge in Athens two years later when the two teams once again met in the final. Kick-off at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte is scheduled for 7pm EST. 4th August in Miami. The Final. Should Liverpool top Group B after three games, the Reds will travel to Miami to contest the final of the International Champions Cup at the Sun Life Stadium on August 4th against either Inter Milan, Manchester United, Real Madrid or AS Roma. This usually happens within a few weeks of the original list coming out. At around the same time, the clubs that are playing in Europe will examine the list to see if there are any matches which need to be moved. Once teams progress to the later rounds of the other cup competitions, League fixtures can be altered. In this instance we always consult with the local police and the clubs concerned. Return to Champions League will test mettle The Reds first Champions League group match will be played on either September 16 or 17, and they will face a tricky trip to West Ham United the following weekend. Their next two post-Champions League games look rather more appealing, with home games against West Bromwich Albion on October 4, and Hull City on October 25. But as the season heads into winter, things begin to hot up. Liverpool face their fourth Champions League group game on November 4 or 5, before hosting title rivals Chelsea on November 8 – although Mourinhos side will, of course, face the same issue. A home game against Stoke City, on November 29, will immediately follow their fifth group game, whilst the trip to Manchester United, on December 13, will come after the Reds final group stage match. Please note the first three games will be played on Monday 28th July, Tuesday 29th July and Wednesday 30th July and points will be awarded, 3 points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat. After Wednesdays games the 28 teams in the Junior Section will be placed in order 1 to 28 according to the points gained from their three games. In the event of teams being level on a number of points, additional criteria will be used to confirm their finishing positions.
