LIVERPOOL : One dead, two injured in stabbings. A man has died and two others have been critically injured in stabbing incidents at Liverpool in Sydneys south-west. Police said three men arrived at Liverpool Hospital with stab wounds on Monday night. Two men, aged 24 and 25, went to the hospital at about 9:30pm with stab wounds to their upper bodies. A short time later a 30-year-old man arrived and was treated for similar wounds. The 24-year-old man died at the hospital while the two others remain in a critical but stable condition. Detectives from the State Crime Commands Homicide Squad have begun an investigation into the mans death. Police will also investigate whether the three stabbings were linked. Inspector Greg Tetly said officers searched Bigge Park due to initial information provided to police. However, it has since been ruled out as a crime scene. Weve done a line search down there and we couldnt locate anything to suggest there was a crime scene at that location, he said. Police have seized a number of items from the men, including a grey sedan. Inspector Tetly said the three men were known to police and they knew each other.
