Skills and abilities: Ability to organize work and set priorities in order to meet timelines and quality standards; Intermediate level computer skills in database functions; Ability to perform mathematical calculations; Well developed customers service skills with emphasis on tact and empathy to interact with people from varied backgrounds; Ability to learn and understand detailed policy and program information Well developed communication skills with emphasis on ability to handle angry/emotional clients Education/Experience Requirements: Three (3) year full-time experience performing administrative support or program support in counseling, education, health care, public administration, social services, vocational rehabilitation, or related experience. Bachelor of Science degree preferred. Substitution includes accredited college training in any of the following areas may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis: Business Administration, Child Development, Counseling, Education, Health Care, Psychology, Public Administration, Social Work, Sociology, or a related area. Preference given to those applicants who have functional and operational knowledge of the State of Indiana’s ICES system.
