LNP are counting 20,000 of the Jobs of the Future as coming from Aquis. Aquis may come back but only as a rework of the old failed Rainbow Harbour proposal which was rejected by the old Mulgrave Shire Council because it is proposed to be built on a flood plain ( same land as Aquis ) - but also because it relied on an opening to the coast via a small creek - ie it was a canal development not permitted by State. Rainbow Harbour will probably rise again - with Ministerial intervention by Jeff Seeney who if LNP are re-elected is introducing legislation to make councils immune from legal action arising from damage caused by ministerial intervention into planning schemes. Residents affected will have to take on the State for compensation or restitution and as Minister for Local Government and Community Resiliance David Crisafulli says The State has much bigger pockets.
