LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN - MAIN ISSUES REPORT GET INVOLVED - PLEASE EMAIL US YOUR VIEWS at: coastalregenerationalliance@gmail The public consultation on these two crucial documents runs until the 8th of February. CRA is drafting a response but we would really like to get as many views as possible from as many people as possible. The documents are all available on the ELC website (see link below). The most important ones in relation to the Energy Park are the Main Issues Report itself and you could look at the Prestonpans Summary if you want a simple version of a very complex document. Questions might include: Should the land around the Power Station (the existing Countryside and Public Open Space) be re-allocated for Employment use? Should the site of the Battle of Prestonpans be offered within this increase of the existing industrial/energy land? Is the site suitable for development as a Port and for Port Related Activity (presumably lorry parking, immigration compounds, servicing facilities although this is not defined)? Would you support the construction of a new road running over the battle site to connect the existing Power Station site and coast road to the top road? Do you see any problems with these proposed developments or any advantages?
