LOCAL NEWS: A Raymond Terrace Christmas tradition will continue today when Port Stephens Council installs lights on what is proclaimed as the southern hemispheres biggest Christmas tree. More than $11,000 in new, more heavy-duty lights weighing in at about one tonne will go up on the Norfolk Island pine tree that stands in the grounds of the former St Johns Rectory on Jacaranda Street, after last years lights were damaged in a severe storm.
