|LOCAL| Three young stars begining to sparkle. 18-years old Mahathir Azeman postponed to tied up contract with Brasil Club Boavista due to National Service. His good perfomance for two years playing for Brasilian Club Boavista looks bright for Mahathir Azeman as he look to play professional at the South American club. His parent club Boavista interested in extending his contract after December this year,but Mahathir 18-years old had to returned home to Singapore to served his National Service next year. The club says that they will waited for his return to the club after he completed his NS. While serving NS,Mahathir hope he will be gicen the chance to play with SLeague club Balestier Khalsa. Under the eyes of Boavista coach,Mahathir shines,where he scored 8 goals and created 11 goals for his team in 17 matches in the Under 18 tournament. 17-years old Ifran Fandi son of Singapore footballing legend Fandi Ahmad has been named 40 young best talent in the world according to The Guardian in England. Irfan played for chilean club Universidad de Cotalica. Sport journalist John Duerden said Irfan is a good player with good finishing touches.
