LOCALS ARE RIGHT Moi should NOT hire private firms.It should TRAIN the locals and supervise them closely.Admin MUST be WISE! U cant build a mansion in a poor neighborhood and feast alone as the community watches.They will come for a share!Employ these guys,and give them what it takes to deliver on their jobs. I for one,if U employ me today,unipe rungu na nguo ya green,na uniambie sasa mm ni SECURITY,U are the joke,not me! U hav to orient me and show me how to do what U want me to do.Kwani why do U do orientation for first years if not for the fact that nobody is born with knowledge.Everybody LEARNT what he/she knows today. Train them and supervise them closely to deliver on their jobs.Thats also why students are tested and re-tested till they emerge professionals after campus. Yes,it is expensive to train these chaps.But cheap is MORE EXPENSIVE.Private companies may not force U to spend more in training the guards and cleaners,but the locals will make it IMPOSSIBLE for the private companies to perform.That will be a TIME BOMB!I warn that there will be far reaching implications if Admin doesnt rescind this wayward course.I see the water supply being stopped,I see a lot of insecurity,I see a host of problems. Personally I study from my room In Ngeria Hall 1,and I hate the sight of the dustbin that has been at the stairs to my room since we resumed on 28th Sept,has never been emptied,it is stinking.But I doubt whether Mois tractor that collects the dustbins has been doing rounds either.The cleaner isnt to blame.Mois management ndio mbaya!
