LOCK DOWN LAGOS Hauwa Yaji Lawan SAYS:- Uncle Timawus Mathias we must watch, pray and observe all the protocols needed to keep ourselves and families safe from harm especially that if the deadly Ebola. It is important to do all those things and more, but there is also a matter of utmost urgency and need..( and this may sound crazy but...necessary I think).. ... SEALING OFF LAGOS... yes, LAGOS... lock it down! .....dont get me wrong, I say this with all sense of responsibility. just imagine for a minute the multiples of people that were in contact with Patrick Sawyer, the importer of EBOLA into Nigeria,known and unknown..... look at the possible chain, friends, family, etc. .....sealing Lagos, will not be economic sabotage,nor a PDP ploy, nor will it be ridiculous, because there has to life to be any economy, politics etc etc. I think that what we have now is an uneasy calm, this disease has an incubation period of 21 days, Im not trying to be a prophet of doom, but it only takes, one infected person taking a flight to Abuja,Kano, Enugu and boom goes the peace,just like Sawyer in Lagos, or a night bus from Lagos to Onitsa,then onwards to Sokoto etc, (and this may very well have happened already, get my drift?) So just imagine when the disease starts to manifest. ....and except government is not telling us what they are doing, (and we all know from experience how it works)but WE ARE NOT PREPARED FOR THIS! The pandemonium that will ensure if this scenario plays out can only be imagined...... if it is not too late, please Mr President, Fashola seal off Lagos and hopefully we can contain this nightmare we face. We are going through enough as a people to have to contend with this catastrophe as well....
