LOGISTICS MANAGER - MILPERRA healthylife.net.au/home/ We are currently seeking a Logistics Manager for our Milperra Healthy Life Group Head Office/Distribution Centre. To be considered for this role you will have at least 3 years experience managing a warehouse. Specific accountabilities for this role will include: •Communicate processes as discussed with managers. •Oversight of the order-to ship/invoice process. •Supervise the receiving and storage of goods according to the existing batch and date tracking system. •Monitor short-dated, slow moving/obsolete stock to ensure proper stock rotation to minimise loss and quality of product shipped to customers. •Ensure timely delivery of merchandise according to specifications of the sales order. •Ensure incoming deliveries are inspected for conformity with order specifications and checked for defects/discrepancies. •Arrange for return of defective goods and coordinate with Accounts Payable for credit claims with suppliers. •Responsible for planning and assignment of daily work for the most efficient use of the warehouse team and performance management. •Mentor and coach the Warehouse Team. •Responsible for periodic/cycle counts and the reconciliation between book inventories and physical counts. •Monitor current transportation rates, packing material costs, facilities maintenance costs with the objective of selecting and using providers that consistently provide the best value for service. •Develop and recommend improvements in office and warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service and lower costs. •Assist in the budgetary process for the warehouse and be responsible for operating within the approved budget. •Ensure activities comply with legal, safety and ethical standards. •WHS and Compliance. To be considered for this role you will be a self starter who is hands on, and has a minimum of 5 years experience in warehousing and/or supply chain preferred.
