LONG POST ALERT**** So some events standout as you go about your day, some are just part of your normal day, so although they may have been great, they dont pop..but I still cant get two things out of my mind...one scary and one random realization... Number One...Scary- Today Im driving to the gym to teach my final class for the weekend at 8:45 a.m., listening to the music Im going to play as I always do, drinking my shake and Im rounding a blind curve,( mind you Im 100% NOT distracted), I was closer to the white line, doing the speed limit (scouts honor) and the shade from the trees as the sun is continuing to rise making it dark, and I see out of the corner of my eye something move and as I pass I look in the rear view mirror, I see a man on the side of the road, hand on heart, staring at my car...I noticed he is wearing dark jean shorts, a dark tshirt and a dark hat. I never saw him in the shadows. SO when they say to wear LIGHT or BRIGHT colored clothes so you can be seen when walking or biking...this is not a fashion statement its for SAFETY!! I would have felt absolutely horrible if I hit this man, but I truly did not see him, thank GOD he saw me, it truly shook me this morning.... Number Two-Random Realization Tonight I went to get ice cream with my kids and tonight I had a sundae, people ask me all the time if I only eat salad and other crazy health nut comments and that I MUST workout two hours or more a day....UMMMM Hell NO...So it will say it again here publically, I worked my A$$ off for three years to get to where I am today...40lbs less, it took me awhile to figure it out. I could have done it quicker, but Im not perfect.....I sat on plateaus for months on end..then it HIT ME.... IT IS THE FOOD!!! And what I DID realize, is yeah to get to your goal, you do need to make some sacrifices for awhile and cut down or cut out certain foods and cocktails, most days of the week, and YES you have to workout 6 days out of 7, but not for hours, for 30 min. to an hour. But once you get to your goal, you can have those treats because you have already made the rest of your eating habits and choices part of your lifestyle, you already dont cheat and eat processed, chemical laden and fast foods daily, its more like quarterly if that. There is no no carb diet, weightloss pills, or system....It really is an easy concept. I have taught many of my friends and customers this SIMPLE eating plan. It is about the nutrition and feeding your body to fuel for the amount of exercise you do. I know they say its 80% ..and who is they?..good ?, in my experience, if you want to feel awesome inside and out, 90% is the what you put in your body, then the 10% is the exercise.... but you feel so amazing, you have a ton of energy to be active and get plenty of exercise and maintain a healthy heart, strong muscles and joints.
