LONG POST: As a rule, I normally try not to share personal stuff on FB unless its good news, but I agree with the Proverb that says, Many advisors make victory sure. So, Ill share with you, just to get it out there... In the past 8 months or so, Ive been having some difficulty with life. From finding steady work, to dealing with my truck; trying to get it smogged, keep it running, and also trying to find a permanent place to live. Things are looking up, but it could be a lot better. Ive gotten 4 tickets in the past month for no registration (no smog = no tags) , and I got let go from Micheals last month as well . But, Sears has kept me on, and Im getting more hours than I ever got at Micheals. The biggest thing is, I made a decision today to retire my truck at a scrapyard in SD. The state paid me a good amount to do so, and it was definitely worth it. However, Im afraid Ive shot myself in the foot by not procuring a good mode of transport beforehand. Time was sensitive here, so I think I did right by my choice. Now, Im looking for a vehicle. I dont want to be in the same place as I was with just any old junker, so Im thinkin of getting a decent 150cc scooter for 5-600 in the interim. It will get me back and forth to work, but not necessarily to gigs. A bus pass is an option, but it has too many limits. I know a lot of your opinions on motorcycles (and theres no need to express them), so I wont even go there, although its not completely out of the question. Anyway, Im trying to save, but Im in need quickly. Im getting more calls for gigs, and Im scheduled for church band over the next 3 weekends, and I dont want to turn them down just because I cant get there. If you could keep your feelers out for a decent vehicle available, for 1000-1200 or even less, Id appreciate it. Also, anyone in the Poway/RB/Carmel Mtn/Mira Mesa area with a room for rent (300-400 mo) would be awesome as well. Sorry for the long post, but I thank you for taking time to read through. I hope youre all doing well. I know that it all could be alot worse, but this has been a long season, and I need to create some forward motion. Thanks again, Happy New Year, and God Bless. S.
