It allows your body to gradually adapt from an exertion-al state to a resting state, which is hugely important. Depending on the intensity of your exercise, cooling down can involve a slow jog or walk, light stretching or even a relaxing massage. NUTRITION: Choose one super nourishing food to include in your diet each day. Oily fish (such as salmon, mackerel, anchovies, sardines and herring) is a great choice as it’s a potent source of omega-3 essential fatty acids. They are not only tasty but also carry a range of health benefits, including improved memory and brain function and a reduction in pain and inflammation.
