Snow Forecast : EC, KZN and Lesotho : Large cold front : Widespread snow possible (27th April 2014) The latest forecast from snow-forecast is suggesting that we could get substamtial snow falls this weekend. Starting late evening in the Eastern Cape Drakensberg, light falls are possible. By Sunday morning, mor snow should fall over the Eastern Cape Drakensberg, over Eastern and central parts of Lesotho and over the KZN Drakensberg. At this point, snow falls may start falling at lower levels in the KZN Midlands, and in the Kokstad/Matatielle area too.By midday on Sunday, snow is still possible over the Eastern Cape Drakensberg, with heavier falls over the KZN Drakensberg, more snow over central, southern and northern Lesotho, and possible snow flurries in the KZN Midlands. Late afternoon will see the snow falls tapering off, with the exception of the northern areas of Lesotho (around Afriski) where snow falls could continue into the early evening. With this snow forecast still being 4 days away, there is still room for change, and we will update again tomorrow.
