LOOK INTO THE WEEKEND: Good evening gang.....what a great day we had today with plenty of sunshine and above-average temps. This weekends gonna be a 50/50 one for us. Tomorrow we can expect sunny to partly sunny skies across our coverage area with daytime highs in the low 50s for our friends in NEPA, north-central PA and northern NJ.......low to mid 50s for the Lehigh Valley, Berks, Schuylkill, Lebanon into the middle sections of PA and central NJ......and mid to upper 50s for SEPA, south Jersey, south-central PA, MD, and DE. Definitely above-average temps for this time of year. Sundays looking a bit soggy for everyone as a cold front pushes over our area. This is not a snow-maker......mostly some sprinkles or light showers to the tune of about a quarter-inch across the board. Daytime temps from the mid 40s to the north, upper 40s in the central areas, and low 50s to the south. Monday is a transition day as seasonable cold air moves into our area and sticks around for the middle of next week. Tuesday through Thursday is looking like sun mixed with clouds for everyone and cold breezes from the northwest.....with daytime highs hovering around 32 for NEPA, north-central PA, the Poconos, Lehigh Valley, Berks, Schuylkill, Lebanon into the central PA counties as well as northern and central NJ.......and in the mid to upper 30s for SEPA, Lancaster, south-central PA, south Jersey, DE, and MD. Nighttime lows for everyone WILL be in the 20s. The next possible weather event (after this Sunday of course) is on the horizon for next weekend sometime. Still too far out to fine-tune it yet but we wanted to give everyone a heads-up that something may make a part of the weekend yucky again. As to where Winter is........dont give up hopes yet. The weak El Nino has been keeping things moving from west to east across the country rather quickly.......so theres no Pacific ridging, no trough through the middle of the country, and no blocking to our north. Basically the players arent in the room...or if they ARE theyre coming in the room and missing each other. By mid-January its looking favorable for Winter to really sink its teeth into our area....and if all the players come into the room and sit at the table together you SNOW-FREAKS..... snow AFFICIONADOS......may get what youre hoping for. Have a great weekend everyone! Chris
