LOOK TO JESUS THIS DAY: A STEADFAST GAZE ON JESUS WILL REMOVE ALL DOUBT AND FEAR. THERE IS SAVING POWER WHEN YOU LOOK AT JESUS! GOD’S COVENANT- A PURSUIT OF INTIMACY: “And Moses made a serpent of bronze and put it on a pole, and if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked to the serpent of bronze (attentively, expectantly, with a steady and absorbing gaze), he lived.” (Numbers 21:9) When Moses held up the serpent on the pole, it represented our sickness, curse, sin, guilt, shames and weakness. As we look at the cross, we can see that we were crucified with Christ. Believing on what God did for us on the Cross brings power to our individual lives. Jesus used the word believe when speaking about focusing on the cross. When we look at what Jesus did for us on the Cross with an attentive, expectant, steady and absorbing gaze, Jesus calls that believing. The very power that is in His redemptive work and written Word is released into our hearts to give life, healing, provision and blessing. You see the work of the Cross with the eyes of your heart. By meditating on the work that was done on the Cross, you can absorb the power in it. You can with no doubt receive the promises and what the Blood of Jesus has done fro you in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. This day, we must purpose in the very core of our being, to look only at the Cross and what Jesus did for us there! We must refuse to be moved by what we see, hear or even feel. We must refuse to be moved by the snakes and the terrifying chaos that is now our world. We have but one of two roads by which we can walk out our future. The choice is up to each one of us. We can be bitten and keep our focus on our circumstances whatever they may be and possibly perish or at the very best keep wallowing in desperate mediocrity blown about by worry, sickness, anxiety and lack OR we can keep our eyes focused on Jesus and what He did for us. Simply believing that God is good for His Word! Here is the truth! Believe it, receive it or not. What you are looking at determines whether you live or die, succeed or fail, win or lose! Note this well. At the day of the bronze serpent, no man could be double minded and try to watch the snakes and the circumstances around him and look at the bronze serpent attentively, expectantly, with a steady and absorbing gaze at the same time. A DECISION FOLLOWED BY ACTION ONE WAY OR ANOTHER PRODUCED THE RESULTS-ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. A STEADFAST GAZE ON JESUS WILL REMOVE ALL DOUBT AND FEAR. THERE IS SAVING POWER WHEN YOU LOOK AT JESUS! A Guiding factor is always: THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND!
