LOOKING FOR THE LOVE OF THE LORD IN THE BOOK OF LUKE. I am on a prayerful journey of discovery through the BOOK OF LUKE...I am in search of the LOVE OF GOD as demonstrated by my SAVIOUR AND LORD. My reasons for this journey is so that GOD can perfect HIS love in me...this in what HE says: 1 John 4:18 KJV There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. GOD IS LOVE. IN FACT, JESUS EXHIBITS THE PERFECT LOVE OF GOD. In the comments that follow... Perfect Love = GOD Perfect Love = SON Perfect Love=HOLY SPIRIT Perfect Love Story Today Luke 15:1-7 KJV Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. And he spake this parable unto them, saying, What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Perfect Love fellowships with sinners in hopes of drawing them unto Himself... Perfect Love doesnt care what other people say about HIS associating with sinners; because, the only thing on HIS mind is to SHOW the sinner PERFECT LOVE so that the sinner is drawn to HIM and chooses to be saved. Perfect Love, after securing the multitude, goes in search of one lost sheep..That 1 is as important as the 99. Perfect Love, does not scold the lost sheep (talking about the LOST sheep), but lovingly scoops that sheep up and carries him or her in HIS everlasting arms to safety. Perfect Love celebrates and wants HIS friends to celebrate with HIM over finding the 1. Perfect Love wants the sheep that was lost and is now find, to know that HE is so: HAPPY, FULL OF JOY, AND that HIS love is exploding over finding that 1 sheep that was lost. Perfect Love, has a place that EXPLODES IN JOYFUL, LOVING THANKSGIVING when 1 had been brought back into the family. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Personal Application: GOD loved US enough to come in search of us...and lovingly WOO us into HIS LOVING ARMS. He knew we were in trouble and didnt stop searching for us until HE found us. Our LOVING SHEPHERD didnt care where HE had to go to get us, HE CAME and collected us from the gutters of life: From the crackhouse (Where we lost our ability to discern right from wrong) HE SPOKE IN OUR EAR SAYING, THIS IS THE WAY WALK YE IN IT. From the crossroad, (Where we dont know which way to go, because weve been blinded but satans bling) HE LIFTED UP HIS CROSS AND NOW WE CLEARLY, SEE THE WAY! From the Rehab: (Where that same sin has us in a revolving door) HE TOOK OUR BURDEN AND EXCHANGED IT FOR HIS CROSS..AND HAS GIVEN US VICTORIOUS, OVERCOMING POWER! From the bed of fornication: (Where weve given away so much of ourselves, that WE dont even know who we are anymore) HE CALLED US BY HIS OWN NAME, WE BELONG TO HIM. From the Corner: Where satan has us prostituting ourselves, sacrificing our character, our virtue, out morality, our integrity. HE HAS LIFTED US UP WITH THE RIGHT HAND OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
