LORD I PRAY • That I may by your mercy find favour in your sight. • That I may with my little effort to acquire little knowledge, be granted the needed wisdom to overcome all challenges of this earthly life and unto eternity. • That I may not desire what is evil but if I do, that you may not grant it unto me for thou knoweth what is good for your child. • That I may find true happiness according to the measures of my desires. • That I may find a true companion who will yearn for, be devoted to, and be committed, to me alone. For thou has said, “the two shall become one’’. • That I may with your aid be in a position to affect positively, people who look up to me for a channel of favour. • That I may live a life worthy of credit even from men, for thou has said “by their fruits you shall know them”. • That I may be granted a favour & wisdom to raise a family that will be a blessing to the society but not a cause to our generation. • That I may neither find myself in a temptation beyond my control nor be engulfed in merriments or difficulties that may compel me to forget thee. • That all who seek all these, may be granted unto them as well, and that I may with others never lose conscience of what is good or bad so that we may by your grace find ourselves after all these toils on earth not in hell but in heaven.
