LORD, This morning is your gift to us, the beginning of a new day and the end of a week of work. You know how much we suffer in our life as migrant workers. Away from our homeland and our families, we bear the burden of loneliness and homesickness, and endure being misunderstood and rejected by others. Yet, you also understand us for you yourself endured problems and persecution as you became the Son of Joseph and Mary. May we learn from your example how to be good and not wish evil on anyone. Make us more sensitive to the needs of others, of our employers and of those who live with us. Send us your Spirit to unite us together in our community of faith in this place, sharing with one another the joys and sorrows, the sufferings and the triumqhs that our life in the foreign land may bring.
