LOST CONNECTIONS - KLARA (CLARA) DEKANY In 2007, Klara was a teacher or educational assistant in the Welland working at Gordon Elementary School. Lori Ann and Klara Dekany are my sisters. Lester (Les, Laslo) Dekany is my birth father - my name at birth was Sheri Lyn Dekany and I was born in Hamilton, ON on 11-Feb-1968. I was put up for adoption at birth. Les and my birth mother went on to have Lori Ann and Klara in ~1971 and 1973 - both attended Midland high school prior the their move to Parry Sound. My birth mother did not tell my sisters about me. Les was from Hungary and my birth mom (Shirley) was from the Hamilton area. They have been divorced for more than 15-years - they split up when Lori Ann and Klara were young. The Dekanys originally lived at the corner of Concession 9 and Concession 2, Old Survey, of Tiny Township, about four miles west of Midland, Ontario. Les worked in construction and as a long-haul trucker. In 1981, tests showed toxic chemicals were seeping from a nearby municipal dump onto the property where he and his family lived. In the summer of 1984, Les left Midland. In 1986, my b-mom moved Lori Ann and Klara to Parry Sound. Klara was in grade 11 at the time and Lori Ann would have been in grade 9. Lori Ann is believed to be still in the Parry Sound area. Klara left Parry Sound in the 1990s and attended Humber College in Toronto - she graduated from the Child and Youth Worker program. In 2007, Klara was a teacher or educational assistant in the Welland working at Gordon Elementary School. I am looking to contact only my sisters and my father. If anyone has any information on my original family, no matter how small, I would be grateful for it as I have been searching on and off for years.
