LOU HAS GONE HOME! Lou spent his first weekend back at his home. Lou, whose real name is Bear, escaped during a storm the first week of October and his family hadnt seen him sense. They searched local shelters nearly every day with no luck. It wasnt until our posts that they noticed a mark on his nose which looked just like their Bear. When has suffered such terrible injuries its difficult to recognize them, especially with severe facial fractures. That one distinctive mark, kept them wondering and they have been in touch with us ever since, making the trip several times up to Davis and to his foster home to visit him. Bears family is going to help with the expenses and is even going to throw us a fundraiser at the facility they own. This is yet another one of those fairytale endings we are so happy to be a part of. Glory and gratitude to the Doctors at UC Davis and for Lydia and her husband, who have helped care for him since day one. Well done gang, what a team effort!
