*****LOUD THINKING 41***** BAY OF BANGLADESH Have you noticed there is nothing like Bengal these days! Erstwhile East Bengal has become Bangladesh and erstwhile West Bengal has become Pashchim Bangla. So, it is only logical that Bay of Bengal should now be renamed either as Bay of Bangladesh or as Bay of Pashchim Bangla. But Bangladesh is an independent and sovereign country whereas Pashchim Bangla is merely a province/state of a country. Besides, Bangladesh is more widely known in the world than Pashchim Bangla. In view of the above it is only appropriate and justified that Bay of Bengal should now be renamed as Bay of Bangladesh. In fact, we should start using Bay of Bangladesh in place of Bay of Bengal with immediate effect. What say you friends?
