LOVE AND LUST AT 2:30 PM IN THE AFTERNOON By Mike Sutherton I was sitting in Takaminis office in Little Tokyo at 2:00 am, lying about Velveeta Plumboys visit to my office...I said that she had hired me to track down some long-lost relative or some shit, when in fact she was trying to hire me to kill her husband, millionaire playboy Darston Plumboy III...Takamini sat back, steepled his fingers, and stared at me...after a few minutes he said, O.K. Finn...beat it...I said, Listen Mr. Sashimi-san, you think one of your gorillas could give me a ride to Echo Park?...he tapped his fingertips together and barked, Baka nē, kōen o ekō suru tame ni, kono kirainahito o toru!!...one of his gorillas bowed and barked, Hai!...he led me out to a big Packard limousine and said, Get in back seat round eye dung head... He dropped me off at my apartment...I stuck my key in the front door lock, and tensed up...it was already open...I eased my beaver-tail sap out of my inside coat pocket, and crept in...there was Velveeta, lying on my couch in seamed stockings, high heels, and not much else, eating fruit from a bowl on my coffee table...I breathed, Hey, doll baby...she dropped a grape into her ruby red lips and said in a lusty voice, Hello, big boy...I said, You know that fruit is wax, right?...
