LOVE EPISTLE Know the Scriptures Issue#122 Jesus answered and said to them, You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. (Matt 22:29) Many people err and go astray because they do not know the Scriptures. Jesus was not speaking about those who are not aware about what the Scripture says, but those who do not see what it says. The Greek word eido used for knowing means to perceive and be perceived by that which you perceive. It is to have an intuitive witness of what you know. You literally become one with what you know. Therein can the power of the Scriptures be experienced. The word of God is the power of God upholding all things (Heb 1:3). Every word of God is the substance that can release and perform that very word (Isa 55:11). Know the word and you will not wander from the course of life.
