DAY 92 TOPIC- PRIVILEDGED TO SERVE Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal to God, but made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of the men Philippians 2:2-7 If Jesus Christ could humble himself to the extent of taking up the form of a servant, it shows that service is important. Carefully observing the scriptures, we discover that Christ wasnt compelled to serve and then die for mankind. It was a willful decision on His part borne out of love for us and for His Father. Dont be hasty in wanting others to serve you. You must first learn to be faithful in serving others; for if you cannot serve well, you will never be able to fully and truly lead others. Leadership is a call to serve. Responsibility is an opportunity for you to serve and be accountable to and for others. Service grants you all access to be blessed. Responsibility is responding with your ability, and for each ability God placed in you that you maximise and use rightly, you will be blessed. Matthew 20:26-27 says ...but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your servant. Further down, it says Christ came to minister and give His life a ransom for many. In serving, Christ laid down all to His very life. God is not looking for able men but faithful and available men who are ready to give up all for the commission. What counts is your availability, faithfulness and discipline at your duty post. CONFESSION I receive grace to serve well. I am faithful, available and disciplined to serve in Jesus name.
