LOVE LIGHT DEVOTIONAL. DAY 98 TOPIC- THREE FAITH BOOSTERS So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God Romans 10:17 We live in a life that we are in but not from. In other words, though we exist on this substantial plane, we are actually citizens of Zion. Thus citizenry occurred at new birth. Upon accepting Christ, we became immersed into Him and ceased to live our old life. Thus, we became part and parcel of the kingdom, life and nature of Christ (Ephesians 2:19). However, because life is not the safest place to be and because of the kind of atmosphere it is, we have to live our everyday life in FAITH. Faith here is defined as the evidence of things not seen but the substance of things hoped for. Hebrews 11:1. This is why I have defined LIFE as Living in Faith. Everyday because theres nothing, no life for a Christian without faith. Faith is the currency to having and abundant and excellent Christian life. But we need to grow our faith. There is a little measure of faith given at new birth. However, this faith will not get you through your entire Christian experience. It is just for starters. You need to work on and improve that measure of faith. The three things that make faith grow are: 1. Hearing- Romans 10:17 (So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.) 2. Meditation- Joshua 1:8 (This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.), Psalm 1:2 3. Speaking in tongues- 1 Corinthians 14:2-4 (For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. ), Jude 20 (But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost). Beloved, I encourage you not to live in the realm of the unknown. Now that you understand what life is really about, ensure you maximize the Faith builders and groom your spirit. Live faith! It is your only stability in this chaotic world. CONFESSION I live by faith. Fear has no hold on me. I maximise the word I hear and I build my faith in Jesus name. Amen.
