LOVE SHOUTS in a simple act of kindness and HATE SCREAMS when nothing is said at all. Your acts of loving kindness can tell the lost that you see their pain and you care or you can tell someone you hate them without saying a word, know the saying, if looks could kill. Sadly many times Christians are known more for their hatred of sin than their love of Christ. Too many of our churches are not known in their communities for being churches that consistently demonstrate gentleness, kindness, and love. Churches are the assembly of the called out ones and we are known for division instead of unity. There are at least 3 different churches in a town of any size. Now think about this if all the churches in one community banded together to reach out to the community in love what a blessing that would be to the lost and hurting people of your town. This is what the community of Borger Texas is doing. All the churches have come together to form one mission called, The Light House. It is a food pantry, clothes closet, drug rehab guidance resource center and it is run by all the denominations of this town to help meet the needs of the people of Hutchinson County. This can be done in communities everywhere. Each church donates money, time and volunteers to run the center, what a blessing to the citizens of Hutchinson County to have the churches united and serving the LORD as one. United Christians on earth as it will be in heaven, what a beautiful picture that paints. Jesus said, A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35 We are the disciples of Christ and we are to love each other for Christs sake, and according to His example, seeking what might benefit others, and promoting the cause of the Gospel, as one body, animated by one soul. At all times and in every race, anyone who fears God and does what is right has been acceptable to Him. He has willed to make people holy and save them, not as individuals without any bond or link between them, but rather to make them into a people who might acknowledge Him and serve Him in holiness. There is only one way to show the power of the Gospel and it is by loving all people like Jesus loves them. Jesus said our love for one another would be one way to show the world His love (John 13:34-35). The church is indeed a miracle – people from varied backgrounds and different races, all loving each other as a family brought together by the blood of Jesus. We live in Christian obedience when we show love toward all. Christian love, while not being devoid of emotion, is an active love, a doing love – evidenced by how we act toward others. Our faith does not allow us to say, “Because you dont belong to my denomination I just don’t love you. Christian love means we act as a Christian toward all people and all denominations.
