LOVING THE SKIN IM IN Have you ever meet someone who was trying to please another person that didnt care for them? Or maybe you have tried to gain the approval of someone whove made it apparent that they disapprove or dislike you! Well let it go...its not going to happen! Peoples opinion of others are usually based off of others opinions and/or they OWN issues, character defects and flaws. Ive meet people who didnt care for me because of something as unchangeable as the color of my skin, simple as my choice of wardrobe, down to the more complex matter of my choice to be a charismatic woman leader, and honestly for a while I tried to shrink, decrease myself and become what they would receive, but it was a lie and no one can live a lie for long and stay out of bitterness and resentment. Needly to say, it didnt last, I got over it and sought God. I know It hurts to be disliked and rejected and so you try to make people feel you and see you for who you truly are but stop! If you were the problem that might work but its not about you! You will only frustrate yourself trying to make them see you or worse yet, change into what they want to see and believe you should be. I know some women that do not care for myself and other women whom they see as; more beautiful, more secure and more successful than themselves. They would tell you that its something about us that doesnt set well with them, or the old juvenile middle school antic, we think were cute and better than others....but if the truth be told, theyre the ones with the problem. Such-a-one is superimposing their feelings and insecurities onto the person who carries what they think they are lacking. Its taken some years and a maturity of over 50 years of living in the skin Im in to accept what God was trying to minister to me since the day He stepped into my life and began to gently nudged me onto destinys path..... HE IS ONLY PLEASED WITH THE ME HE HAS MADE! Now I hold my head high and walk with an assurance that doesnt come from my style or natural beauty but from the most beautiful attribute a human being can possess: CONFIDENCE IN SELF and I can only do that because daily I strive to please YAHWEH first and then MYSELF! After-all; He is the only one who knows what is best for me and Im the only one who know what I like and what pleases me! Nuggets for Diamonds The Lioness!
