LPs Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) spent Saturday night in Howard Fellows Stadium to give them a brief taste of being homeless during FCA Stadium Stay 2014. They also heard from speakers, Carol Alcorn from PADS, who spoke about homelessness in the Illinois Valley and the opportunities that there are to make a difference, and Jeff Whalen, the St. Johns Lutheran youth director, who encouraged the kids to get involved, volunteer and make a difference. In between the kids had a light dinner, played games and slept out in the open air in the stadium -- although a couple of the guys built a cardboard complex to sleep in. #WeAreLP
