LSI Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to assure that our manufacturing clients products are produced safely and with the ability to meet stated requirements. Shift will be Mon.-Sat. from 3:00AM-1:00PM. RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor product attributes to assure product quality is at targeted levels Assure compliance to food safety, regulatory and company policies Assure compliance with all established safety procedures Trains current and new QC Techs on all responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician role Conducts monthly employee safety training as needed for the Quality Department Manages employee safety hazards log for the department Will assist the HACCP Coordinator, QA Manager, Plant Management and USDA Will manage the Nutritional Labeling Verification Program Will manage the labeling services, net weight program, product specifications, foreign material Incidents and KPI data for the facility Assist with quality and food safety investigations related to process failures, consumer complaints and customer complaints First responder to quality and food safety concerns in the facility and communicates such to the Q.A. Manager Leads pre-operational inspections, including managing the release of areas to the USDA and to the production staff REQUIREMENTS: Associates Degree in Business or related field required or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A Bachelors degree is preferred. 2 to 4 years of meat industry experience Must have strong and effective verbal and written communication. Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software for department reporting and record keeping.
