LUCID DREAMING (From Wiki, though I might argue with only 14 LDers and it being at least 23 years old (Geez Wiki..), the correlation between them... I can NOT. Ive been Lucid dreaming since 3 or 4 years old. OBEs: Not sure of exact age but I believe I was around 6 years old. NDEs: 2. One at age 19, the other at 31. 1 question, after 2 short (but dated) paras. ************************************************************************************ Some sleep researchers, such as Timothy J. Green, Lynne Levitan and Stephen LaBerge, have noted that NDEs are similar to many reports of lucid dreaming, in which the individual realizes he is in a dream. Often these states are so realistic as to be barely distinguishable from reality. In a study of fourteen lucid dreamers performed in 1991, people who perform wake-initiated lucid dreams (WILD) reported experiences consistent with aspects of out-of-body experiences such as floating above their beds and the feeling of leaving their bodies. Due to the phenomenological overlap between lucid dreams, near-death experiences, and out-of-body experiences, researchers say they believe a protocol could be developed to induce a lucid dream similar to a near-death experience in the laboratory. ************************************************************************************* QUESTION: (Those of us who can remember not only our dreams, but can also LD, have OBEs and remember their NBEs, may be limited). So I would ask, for anyone who wishes to, just to leave a count. How many OBEs and NBEs have you experienced? Right now, Im only interested in the counts, but will add to this post if there is interest. Ive had decades to ponder all 3 subjects though I believe there is a link between them.
