Please share care adn mosts of all donate.Lulu aka Lulubelle an emaciated heartworm positive hound was pulled from the Elizabethtown, North Carolina Animal Control Facility minutes before she was to be euthanized. This poor girl was abandoned by two different foster homes and the people who offered to donated and sponsor her never came through for her. She was estimated by the shelter to be 2-4 years old but in terrible shape. Lulu was pulled by Dog4U, Inc. and was taken to South Robeson Veterinary Hospital where it was found that she is heartworm positive and that her teeth have been utterly destroyed. She has been vetted as far as she can be and has been started on antibiotics. The staff at South Robeson have done everything they can to make her comfortable and it is now time for her to travel to South Carolina to her foster home so that she can begin the process of heartworm treatment and becoming the healthy senior dog the vets feel she can become. The vet at South Robeson said “it’s not time to give up on her, she is too sweet of a dog with years left to enjoy the easy life she has never had before.” Let’s help Lulu make this happen. Her current bill at South Robeson is over $300 and she will need another fundrazr to cover her heartworm treatment costs in South Carolina in the near future once she puts on enough weight. Her bill must be paid before she can be picked up and she has a reputable foster home waiting here in South Carolina; she accruing $10 per day in boarding.
