La Aguera is an small town in Cape Blanco, in the southwestern most part of Western Sahara. In times of the Spanish colony was a military outpost, fishing town and center of Spanish colonial power right over the border of French Mauritania. After Spain cowardly abandoned the territory to Morocco and Mauritania occupation and the native people were forced to escape to the refugee camps in Algeria or to every corner of the world. Today la Aguera is in ruins, its inhabitants scattered, covered by the Sahara sands.
