La Jolla Shores Time: am Temp: 65 Viz: fairly great The great conditions were overshadowed by the devastation in the entire Crap Patch – it looks like a blast zone. It is clear that divers visiting the area have no fining or buoyancy skills. It is heartbreaking to see it in this condition. The Seahorse is NOT doing well. I can’t help but wonder if it is stressed or has been kicked around too much. It appears ill – laying on its side and it seems weak. It was awful to watch. The rest of the canyon environs is not faring too well either, with clear diver trails and kicked up debris everywhere. It’s been an ongoing issue that seems to be getting worse over time. We are so fortunate to have the LJS here in our own backyard, with all its wonderful critters (and flora) for us to visit without too much effort. I wish more divers / students would put some effort into their skills and be aware of how easily they can damage or kill a critter. jackie
